On day two of CRS I interviewed more than a dozen artists. Coincidently, many were family members including; Carter’s Chord, Coldwater Jane & The Harters. Trailer Choir was the funnest interview of the day and the most awkward interview was with Burns and Poe. I can’t give to many details, you will have to wait and see the videos on yallwire.com.

The highlight of the day was Sony Music’s luncheon in the CMA Performance Hall. American Idol’s Danny Gokey and country superstar Alan Jackson were among those that performed.

Country duo Brooks & Dunn took the stage to announce that the last show of The Last Rodeo tour will be in Nashville, August 10th and will benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame. Tickets are only $25! The duo is pictured here with Museum Director Kyle Young. After the announcement, the top selling duo sat down for a little Q & A with the radio broadcasters and shared funny stories of their years on the road together.

Alan Jackson entertained the crowd for quite some time after the announcement. He dedicated his first song, Good Time to Brooks & Dunn and joked about the Hall of Fame gesture being a “nice tax break.” He also teased about playing the luncheon for free and ragged on Keith Urban, who acted as a guitar player in his Mercury Blues video. Later Thursday night, Sony hosted a party on the General Jackson. Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Bryan Adams performed on the 3 hour dinner cruise. Good times! Be sure and check back, I’ll have more details in my next post.

Are John Mayer and Taylor Swift dating? That’s all the buzz around Nashville this week. The two singers were spotted together at Cabana in Hillsboro Village Sunday night. Steph spies say they looked to be having a romantic dinner and apparently, Taylor was over heard in the bathroom talking about dating John.

Tuesday night, Taylor was spotted with John yet again. This time at the CMT Crossroads taping.
John taped the special with Keith Urban at the Factory in Franklin.

Reba celebrated her latest Number One, Consider Me Gone at Starstruck Entertainment on Monday.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw continue to shoot Love Don’t Let Me Down all over Music City. The Fontanel Mansion (Barbara Mandrell’s former home) was transformed into a rehab center for the movie. Steph spies say Gwyneth and Tim both signed the posts in the great room. Paltrow plays a country singer and McGraw her manager in the film. You can get in on some of the action as an audience member, when they film Feb. 2nd at Municipal Auditorium downtown. Gwyneth, Tim, Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester, Garrett Hedlund are all expected to be there. You will even get to hear Gwyneth sing. If you’re over 18 head on down to Municipal on the 2nd, doors open at 4 p.m. They are looking for a couple of thousand extras and it’s first come first serve.

Dierks Bentley, Bela Fleck and Cary Barlowe were among the many artists at the Grammy Award Nominee Party at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel.
Cary was also seen celebrating his brother, Nathan Barlowe’s, birthday at Mai Tuesday night. Cary wowed the crowd by singing Happy Birthday Elvis style.

Later Thursday night, Pauly D from MTV’s Jersey Shore came out to McFadden’s for a special appearance. Reality star “Sinister” from Daisy of Love was also in attendance.

The 43rd Annual CMA Awards took over downtown Nashville Wednesday night and Taylor Swift took home most of the honors. Taylor adds four CMA Awards to her collection, winning Entertainer, Female Vocalist, Album and Music Video of the Year at the awards show held at The Sommet center. By winning Entertainer of the Year, 19-year-old Swift is the youngest performer to ever win the honor and the first female to win since Shania Twain in 1999. “I’ll never forget this moment,” an emotional Swift said, “because at this moment everything that I have ever wanted just happened to me.” Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood hosted this years show, which boasted a list of performances by artists like; Kid Rock, Dave Matthews and George Straight. Among those pictured on the red carpet- Big Kenny & Christiev Alphin, Martina McBride with hubby John and Tim McGraw with his lovely wife Faith Hill.

After the Awards celebs, music insiders and such scurried off to various parties around town. Most of the music labels held private functions at their offices, which many of the stars headed to. I checked out the official CMA After Party at the convention center. The decorations, food, drinks, etc. were all top of the line. The dance floor and general admission area was packed. However, the VIP was nearly empty except for a few industry insiders. Julianne Hough, the Carter Twins, Trent Tomlinson and 2-Foot Fred were among those spotted at the official CMA After Party. Whitney Duncan, Jessie James and Sarah Buxton are just a few of the artists that took the mic on the large stage at the after party. CAA’s Jim Butler & Maribeth Abels, Shaun Bertrand, Chris Borchetta & Ashtyn Wallace and Hugh Lombardi, Brock Jones & Susan Clark of The Sommet Center are among those pictured from the event.

Next I headed over to The Spot, where John Rich was celebrating with a full house and band. Wynonna Judd hung on the couches chatting with folks for hours and Kid Rock made an appearance later in the night, early morning. Cowboy Troy, 2-Foot Fred, Manuel, Sinister from Daisy of Love (who recently moved to Nashville) and Bobby Pinson were also among those mingling in the room.

Upstairs from the Spot, The Zac Brown Band was having their own party. Big Kenny and Kid Rock were among the celebs I spotted there.

Country star Alan Jackson visited tons of fans at Cracker Barrel in Mt Juliet Monday morning.

Taylor Swift was seen dancing it up at The Ryman for Paramore Sunday.

Warren G and his crew stayed at he Hutton Hotel over the weekend. The regulator performed at HAunted Valley Saturday, then hung upstairs in Mai’s VIP.

Keith Urban played a free gig Friday night at Verizon Wireless’ Cool Springs store.

Speaking of Keith Urban, he and Nicole Kidman were spotted backstage at the KISS concert last Wednesday. Steph spies also saw a couple guys from 3 Doors Down at the showe, as well as Josh Todd from Buckcherry who hung out in the soundboard area during the rock show.

SNL’s Kevin Nealon grubbed at Pancake Pantry Friday, before performing at Zanies later that night.

Hillwood Strike And Spare hosted a benefit Thursday for Happy Tales Humane, which featured supermodel Niki Taylor as the costume contest judge.

Looks like Ben McKenzie from the OC was in Music City for several days. Sightings poured in from both; Hillsboro Village and Lime last week.

Lat Thursday, two of the guys from Daisy of Love were spotted in Home Depot in Berry Hill. Steph spies write, “I think it was that little bitty “Sinister” dude, and his wormy sidekick/buddy (whatever his name is). Don’t know what they were doing, other than piddling around, but Daisy was nowhere to be seen.” Ha!

NKOTB’s Jordan Knight was in a Nashville studio working on his upcoming solo project last week. He also held auditions Wednesday at Hollywood Disco in search of female singers.

Country superstar Keith Urban was spotted, along with his talented wife Nicole Kidman and daughter Sunday Rose during an afternoon visit at Target on White Bridge Road Monday. The family checked out at the same time we did. No one bothered them, but shoppers rather watched in awe and silence as Nicole and Sunday Rose walked hand in hand to drop off their shopping cart. After picking up several items, Keith secured Sunday Rose in her car seat and politely opened the door to their black Bentley for Nicole. While he mostly avoided eye contact, once settled into the driver seat Keith gave us a smile ad wave. Such a sweet sighting.

Keith Urban held a press conference at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville Monday morning, announcing some star additions to the upcoming benefit We’re All for the Hall.

Keith originally announced at his sold out show Saturday in Nashville that he’s coming back to the Sommet Center Oct. 13th for the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum.

Keith, Faith Hill, Vince Gill, Lady Antebellum, and Little Big Town were already on the bill. Now, Taylor Swift and Brad Paisley can be added to the already star-studded affair.

Tickets are only $25 and go on sale Wednesday morning through TicketMaster.

After the announcement, Keith & Vince Gill performed for the media crowd.

Country legend Kris Kristofferson celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a visit to Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. Introduced to the stage by John Rich of the duo Big and Rich, Kristofferson took the stage to perform one of his most popular hits Me and Bobby McGee.

Also enjoying the show from the famous front corner booth was Rascal Flatts’ member, Jay DeMarcus and Muzik Mafia’s Two Foot Fred.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were also among this weeks celeb sightings. The couple had lunch Thursday afternoon at Calypso Cafe on West End.

The word from my steph spy: “She looked gorgeous, just wearing maybe brown jeans/cords and a green/yellow fitted tee (layered). He looked like Keith, looked nice. Both are striking people.”

Mercy Lounge celebrated turning 6 with free shows all week, featuring a stellar line-up of local artists. Saturday night the line to get in stretched across the parking lot, among the hundreds of rockers inside was none other than Nicole Kidman.

While I was there, I didn’t spot the actress myself. However, she was all the talk at the bar. Steph Spies say she looked “very cute and quite rock and roll in a black jacket and messy ponytail.” Nicole hung out in the middle of the packed room among the crowd, while watching The Features.

Other bands that played the last night of the anniversary party included; AutoV​aughn​, Pico vs. Islan​d Trees​, Jerem​y Liste​r, Ricky​ Young​, Elle Macho​, Brenn​, My Tyger​ & DJ DPAUL​.

It’s a family tradition for many to catch a movie on Christmas night and it looks like celeb couple are no different. The busy Nashville theatres didn’t deter Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman away. The couple was spotted just before 5 O’clock at the Regal Green Hills theatre Christmas day.

Steph spies say two kids and an older man were in tow. I’m assuming the kids were Isabella and Connor, Kidman’s two children with her former husband Tom Cruise. Steph spies also say the couple was dressed nice, with Nicole’s hair in a low ponytail.

Once the family was inside they skipped the ticket line, lifted the rope and headed downstairs to the theatre. Guess that’s VIP style!

Keith and Nicole were also spotted on Christmas Eve at Nashville’s Bread & Company.

Nashville’s favorite couple, Keith Urban & Nicole Kidman came out to BMI to celebrate and honor the trio of songwriters behind his hit song “You Look Good In My Shirt” Monday afternoon. Keith showed up a bit late for the party full of Music City’s movers and shakers. Once he took the podium Keith explained that he was sorry for being late, that he had been working in the studio.

He stood among the crowd, sipping on a glass of white wine a wine glass with something clear ice water in it beside his superstar wife while those behind the song were honored including, new Songwriters Hall of Fame member Tom Shapiro, Mark Nelser and Tony Martin.

Afterward, Nicole was nice enough to pose for loads of pictures with fans. She looked gorgeous with her hair pulled up (as usual), black skinny jeans, black flats and a black sweater.

Keith thanked Nicole on the microphone, proclaiming the award was for both of them “and you do look good in my shirt… or without it,” Keith giggled.

UPDATE: I have confirmed that Keith was drinking ice water. I honestly didn’t think anything about it when I posted it, but now we all know. Again, I meant no disrespect.
