CMA after party round-up with the stars~
Well, we managed to do it. Despite my most uncomfortable high-heels in my closet, I hit all four invite only CMA after parties that we planned on attending.
First stop- Big Machine Records at the Jack Daniels suite inside the Sommet center. Two things I noticed- it was more packed than in years past & the upstairs was turned into a VIP. That’s where I heard Kid Rock & his posse was kicking it. One of the first stars I spotted at the party was none other than Reese Witherspoon, whose crew had apparently called ahead and said no pictures. Reese was chatting with several of music cities movers & shakers when a fan approached her. Her bodyguard was quick on it and the movie star quickly switched spots across the room. Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift (pictured), Miss America 2004/singer Erica Dunlap and Diana DeGarmo (pictured) were also among the celebrity guests that were spotted.
Next up- Universal Music Group. The party was held down the street high atop the Sun Trust Building. A small VIP corner had fans crowding the place. Among those spotted in the corner- George Strait (CMA king), Shania Twain (CMA’s surprise guest), cute couple Chuck Wicks & Julianne Hough, Sugarland’s Kristen Hall & his wife Jill (pictured) and Luke Bryan.
Next- it was off to Sony BMG’s party at the Nashville offices. Food there had a true southern flair, with Bob Evans’ pancakes, sausage, biscuits, mini-burgers, etc. There was also a chocolate fountain and Key Lime pie ice-cream that satisfied my sweet palette.
The CMA host, Carrie Underwood, was there in her 7th dress or so for the night. This one - short silver & gold sparkled showed off her gorgeous legs. Also spotted- Kenny Chesney, Kix Brooks, Rascal Flatts’ Jay & Allison DeMarcus (pictured), Gypsi, The Wailers, Titans Albert Haynesworth, Julianne Hough & her bo Chuck Wicks again and Titans coach Jeff Fisher.
Last, we hit Capital Records party at Lime where I heard Keith Urban & Nicole Kidman made an appearance for about 15 minutes. Also spotted- Hugh Jackman, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum & Trace Adkins.
I know there isn’t a tone of pics, but out of respect for the artists/labels I chose not to take many.

Thanks for this info! Was Shania Twain still wearing that knockout gown that she presented the Entertainer of the Year Award in? She turned quite a few heads, I’m sure!

Cool pics. Seemed like a blast. No Jennifer Nettles in attendance at the Universal party?

studio version lyrics…
Fearless is the second shocking album by American country pop musician Taylor Swift, released on November.
Taylor Swift - Fearless is the first awesome disc since Santana’s Supernatural to top the Billboard 200 for 7 non-consecutive weeks….
