Disco bowling for Byrdie’s birthday~
My longtime pal Heather Byrd, from All the Rage, threw a birthday party just the way I like, with games. Our party took over Dave and Busters, first with bowling and later with arcade gaming.
I’m not usually a fan of black light bowling, because I take the game to serious. This however, wasn’t nearly as dark and I could actually see where to roll my ball. I still lost though. Eddie George and his son were bowling a few lanes down.
We had fun acting like kids while playing ski ball, racing games and shooting games. We won a load of tickets, only to redeem them for plastic nothings. Oh well. I got an LED lit necklace. Whoo-hoo!
I bought Heather a shiny gold hula hoop for her birthday, which we of course used at the bowling alley. Her mom even gave it a whirl. Those Byrd ladies have such fun spirits!
Speaking of her mom, she bought the most gorgeous cupcakes- lemon meringue, strawberry shortcake and chocolate chocolate chip we just a few of the flavors I nibbled on. Yum!
Heather and I have been celebrating birthdays together now for years and I look forward to many more.
