Country singer Mindy McCready walked out of the Williamson County Jail Sunday morning.

She is now a free women after being locked up for more than five months. She still faces two years of probation for the violation.

McCready was jailed in July after a domestic dispute with her mother in Florida. She was arrested for battery and resisting arrest- a violation of her 2004 probation charge for obtaining oxycotin without a prescription.

McCready tells me she is looking forward to getting back to her music and her baby boy.

Family members tell me her next endeavor is a reality show.

My pal and fabulous photographer Aaron Crisler recently celebrated the big 3-0. Judy Nelon hosted his birthday party in her gorgeous 30th floor (coincidence? I think not!) Viridian Penthouse with a spectacular view of Nashville. Aaron’s birthday falls on Christmas so he rarely gets to celebrate, but this year we threw down with some delish chili!

After comedian Doug Benson performed at Zanies he headed to Sambuca to check out the Diggy Band. You may recognize Benson from the Last Comic Standing and Best Week Ever on VH1, among a slew of other VH1 shows.

Going to see the Diggy Band seems to be all the rage. I spotted Jack White jamming to their tunes long ago, but lately guitarist Adrian Belew (King Crimson), Carrie Underwood and Luna Halo have been spotted checking out the Diggy Band.

Speaking of Jack White, the rocker was recently hanging at Mercy Lounge for Panty Raid’s “Christmas Breast-tacular.”

right down 2nd Avenue & Broadway. If you thought you saw him, you probably did. There wasn’t one Santa, but hundreds of Santa’s that took over Nashville Saturday night for Santa Rampage 2007.

There was a slew of naughty bearded jolly ole fellows like Dirty Santa, Muscle Santa and even Santa Tree Skirt. The Christmas cheer and ho ho ho’s filled the streets of downtown and ruled every bar in sight.

There was no fear as many Santa’s came bearing gifts! These fine red suited young men and women deserve recognition for participating in the best event of the year.

Those behind the scene of Nashville’s rock world convened for a Christmas bash at Exit/In. The party thrown by Great Big Shows and Mac Presents drew in hundreds. The DJ’s tunes drew some party folks on stage and compelled them to rip off their shirts, but it wasn’t long before they were banned from exposing their bodies. It still made for great part chatter.

Designer to the stars Manuel opened the doors to his shop for a Christmas shindig last week. The biggest star that showed out, Santa!

Nashville’s newest tequila bar pulls in an array of stars regularly.

Last Sunday I ran into these guys- actor Thomas Ian Nicholas of American Pie, Michael Tait of DC Talk, designer Jeff Garner of Prophetik, B. Young ofPrime Time Promotions and Kolin Moran.

The cuties had been at the new Sunday night event known as “Sunday School” at Aerial.

Say it isn’t so! I hate to give the new Nashville gal a bad rap, but some folks on the Eastside say they got a bad tip!

Jessica Simpson and her entourage stopped in Rose Pepper last Sunday night and ringed up a tab well over $250, but only left a mere twenty some odd dollars! Maybe Jessica had no input with the tip, one of her sidekicks could be responsible, but that’s not cool.

Yup, my buddy Joel Wilson threw a party that was really out of this world. His house was transformed into a spaceship with aluminum-foiled walls, a space pod, lunar juice and my favorite, dried ice-cream.All partygoers had to suite up in a tagged moon suite before entering. Of all of the parties I have attended this one was one of a kind and just plain awesome!

The party was to celebrate Joel’s production team’s (ilovebetty) recent win in a short film contest in Bowling Green for the film “Holding Pattern.” Yeah, now you see how the whole theme came about.Many of those in attendance are employees at Fox 17 News.
