“Pickler of the Week”

pickler.jpg Country cutie Kellie Pickler was picklered, I mean picked, as the Look Of The Week by US Weekly’s fahion police.

Her full length, salmon color gown by Max Azria is highlighted in the June 4th issue for the ACM Awards.

Some of their comments include “…she’s just been crowned America’s Fashion Idol” and “Definitely the Pickler of the Week.” That’s just too cute!

You can catch Kellie partaking in all the CMA fun next week right here in Music City!

Keith, Nicole, Tim and Faith: Seen in the City

timfaith.jpg Several couples were spotted out on the town. Here are a few of the stars that were seen in the city, sent in by my lovely readers!

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were seen having dinner upstairs at Sambuca a few weeks ago.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were seen with their little girls and a few other guests Friday at Bricktops for lunch.

Naomi Judd, her husband and two friends zoomed into the Loveless Monday night on their motorcycles and had dinner.

Trent Tomlinson and Joe Nichols were hanging at Tootsies Tuesday night.

Josh Turner and his wife were also seen hanging downtown Tuesday night. The couple found a spot to sit in the back of Roberts.

Thanks for all your tips! If you see anyone out and about Email Me!

Hip-Hop Hooray~

hip-hop.jpg Tonight Layl’a Ultra Lounge is throwing the second of a series of parties. You remember the 80’s prom? Tonight they are throwing a hip-hop party.

Special guest DJ’s will be spinning your favorite old school hip-hop jams for the club’s Retro Hip-Hop party. Costumes are not required, but there will be prizes for the best hip-hop get-ups. The party starts at 8, but for those who don’t know Layl’a is a late late late night spot (I know it’s a school night, but it will be fun).

There is a limited guestlist call #620-6015 for reservations.

Clarksville Native Miss USA Stays Strong

missusa-001.jpg From my partner Brad on 2:
Miss USA Rachel Smith, a Belmont grad/Clarksville native, may not have won the Miss Universe Pageant, but she certainly won most grace-under-pressure.

First, Rachel fell right on her tush when she started walking down the runway in the evening gown portion. Click HERE to see that.

Then, Rachel became a political football when many Mexicans — upset about recent U.S. immigration policy changes — started booing, almost every time Miss USA was mentioned. It was particularly evident when she was asked her interview question when she made the top five. Click HERE to see that.

Through it all, Rachel kept a smile on her face. And at the height of the booing, Rachel told the crowd, “Buenas noches (good night), Mexico. Muchas gracias!”

Pageant co-owner Donald Trump said afterward:

“Rachel has been a great Miss USA, and she’s really a nice person, and I don’t think they were booing Rachel, perhaps they were booing some policies of the United States, to be honest with you.”

Yard Ball~

yardballcover.jpg Every year folks fly in from across the country for a little yard ball. It’s a traditional event held on Granny White every Memorial weekend. Most of those that attend are Hillsboro High School graduates. I have been attending for several years, but his was the 19th annual Yard Ball Open!

The home on Granny White is perfect for an outdoor shindig, there are os course basketball courts, a ping pong table, swimming pool, hot tub and they always have a DJ. Talk about a day full of competition!

The weather was once again perfect for a day of outdoor fun in the sun. Later that night most of the crew hit the honky tonks. The picture is of the packed house at Roberts Saturday night.

Margaritas on the Patio~

jenscover.jpg One of my dearest new friends Jensen Sussman celebrated her birthday Friday night at Rose Pepper. Dozens turned out for a fabulous night on the patio.

jens9.JPGjens8.JPG

Jensen is one of the leading ladies at Equity Music Group (home of Little Big Town, Clint Black, etc.).

jens5.JPGjens4.JPG

A slew of industry insiders were in attendance: managers, make-up artist and producers.

Desiree, Colleen Runne, Laura Huie, Tara Austin, Julie Thompson, Russ Nabors, Lee Holyfield, Hunter Kelly (ABC Radio) and Laura Douglas (CMT) are among those pictured. Jensen is the cutie in all the pics!

All Grown Up~

stephsister-cover.jpg My little sis did it, she graduated from high school! Lizzy graduated from Nashville School of the Arts and it was unlike any graduation I’ve been to. Yes, it was still three freakin’ hours, but they danced, acted and sang. It was much like Fame.

I am so fortunate to be back home and share these monumental moments with her. Now she will be leaving me and heading to L.A., where she will follow her dancing dreams.

Tim, Faith, Hasselhoff Among Those Seen in the City~

rockstarmarty.jpg I love it when viewers write in with their sightings! Here are a few I’ve received lately. I didn’t personally see these folks, so who knows what’s true or not.

Marty Casey of Lovehammers and finalist of the hit reality show Rock Star: INXS was seen “snuggling up with model chick Justina” at Sunset Grill. (Justina Crosslin was recently featured on the cover of Nashville Lifestyles’ Single in the City issue).

Tim McGraw & Faith Hill were seen Thursday night at 3rd and Lindsley. The two “stopped by to support Lori Mckenna at her showcase before she leaves to open their tour. Of course they looked fab!”

David Hasselhoff was seen hanging “outside the honky tonks on lower Broad” last weekend.

Really…David Hasselhoff? Did anyone else hear he was in town?

Thanks for all your tips!

A Downtown Amphitheater?

I think that would be fabulous!

The Mayor proposed the idea Thursday morning.

The amphitheater would be on the site of the old thermal plant and hold between five and eight thousand fan goers.

Musician Chris Janson and concert promoter Rick Whetsel both love the idea! Watch the story HERE!

Ashley Judd Loves Game Night!

ajud.jpgThose that know me know I am slightly obsessed with playing board games. Well, today I discovered actress Ashley Judd shares the same passion. Whoo-hoo!

Watch my story HERE: The Franklin resident tells us her favorite game and why she can’t play too late at night, about her new movie BUG and the upcoming Indy 500.
